Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak, Colorado

Here are two sights that form the backdrop of Colorado Springs. The contrast between the green trees and red rocks of the Garden of the Gods (once known as the Red Rock Corral) is a striking combination of colors uncommon in her home in the Northeast. The winding roads and switchbacks of Pikes Peak Highway made for an interesting view that brought similar roads in previous trips to Norway and Denali National Park to my mind.
