Watkins Glen, New York

I'd always heard great things about the hiking in Watkins Glen State Park, so when we were driving back home from a wedding in Geneva through the Finger Lakes region, stopping for a quick hike was a must. Unfortunately, it was raining on this day and the park was out of season so while it was empty (a plus), many sections were still closed until a few weeks later. Still, the parks boasts an interesting landscape and it was an enjoyable visit. We will have to return in season sometime in the future.
