Our visit to Victoria was a whirlwind few hours during a week-long Alaskan cruise, which only stopped here due to the Jones Act's requirement for ships sailing under a foreign flag that begin and end their journey in a U.S. port must stop in a foreign port as well. This made for a perfectly cromulent bonus visit long enough for a walking tour of this British Columbian city.
